The Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Arcangelo Ghisleri is a technical college providing five year courses, its main fields of education being economical and technological studies. The economical studies are related to finance and banking, law and economy, computers, foreign languages, and general studies; the technological studies deal with building engineering and services, land and estate evaluation, computers and general studies.

It is a high school with about 1,000 students, the age is form 14 to 19. The teachers are about 100, plus about 20 non teaching staff.

The main school projects are job practice, which involves all students, language certificates: BEC, FIRST; DELF; GOETHE; and CAD qualifications, cultural exchanges, and others, related to specific fields.

The students are mainly from Cremona and the nearby villages. Cremona is a town of about 70.000 inhabitants. The economy is mainly based on services, agriculture, food industry, dairy products and steel industry.
